What does it mean if my brewer stops mid-cycle?
There are several troubleshooting tips that will help you easily operate your Bonavita coffee brewers. In case your brewer stopped working mid-cycle, that means you have to descale the brewer. Same goes if your brewer is taking longer than usual.
If there is a problem with water flow, such as water is leaking from the bottom of the brewer or the water is not flowing into the filter or carafe, there might occur a problem with the brewer during manufacturing. In this case, the best you can do is turn to Bonavita customer service.
In case the water is trapped in the walls of your carafe or thermal carafe is leaking, there will be a problem with the vacuum seal and once again, you should turn to Bonavita customer service.
In case you have grounds in your finished coffee batch, you should use a taller coffee filter so that all particles are securely trapped in the filter basket. Finally, remember that thermal carafe is not compatible with a warming plate, therefore avoid using the thermal carafe with other brewers that have a warming plate. The double-walled design is sufficient to keep your coffee warm.
