It's also shaped like nothing else in your drawer: a narrower, taller coffee bed designed for more control over flow and extraction.

Why step down?

By stepping the basket down, IMS builds a deeper, slimmer puck. According to IMS, this geometry is designed to raise extraction yield with the same dose, or to get comparable results with less coffee. For light-roast lovers like us, that means more room to chase sweetness and clarity without wasting beans.

Laser, not punch

Laser ablation: a focused laser removes steel with no contact.
