What are the different grind settings?
The Comandante hand grinder can grind to pretty much any level of coarseness. If you’d like to create a Turkish coffee, you need only turn the dial 5-8 clicks. For espresso, 8-12. For Moka pot, 13-15. For filter, pour over, and aeropress, 20-28. For French press, 32-35. For cold drip and cold brew, 34 clicks.
How to clean the Comandante grinder?
It’s important that you never submerge the grinder in water or put it in the dishwasher. If the outside of the grinder becomes grubby, you can simply use a damp cloth to clean it. Every two weeks, you should also disassemble the grinder and use a brush to get rid of any leftover coffee grounds. Make sure you keep each part of the grinder safe as you are doing this, especially the two small washers. This keeps your coffee tasting fresh as there are no stale grounds to pollute it.
