The Bekele Natural Espresso from Coffee Collective offers a unique flavour profile and origin story,  ideal for espresso lovers looking for something special.

Origin & Processing

  • Farm & Region: Grown at the farm of Bekele Karchara in the Murago area, Sidama, Ethiopia, at altitudes of 2,200–2,350 metres above sea level.

  • Varieties: Kurume (both 74 & 158) are the key varieties used. 

  • Processing: Natural (i.e., sun-dried whole cherry) method — emphasising sweetness and fruity complexity.

  • Producer Collaboration: The roaster works directly with Bekele to improve sorting, expand shaded drying, and support his organic certification — enhancing both quality and sustainability.

  • Producer payment: USD 12.10 per kg for the quality of the coffee.

  • Alternative brew: Cold brew or longer extraction filter methods will highlight the strawberry & melon notes and produce a sweet, clean cup.

  • Use freshly roasted beans and grind just before brewing to preserve the aromas.

  • Store in an airtight container, away from heat, light and moisture.
