We are proud to present to you Bean Bros’ very own brand of coffee!
Over the past few years, we’ve been lucky enough to work with coffee farmers from around the world and understand the art behind a good cup of coffee. Bringing together the knowledge we’ve acquired, we’ve created our own coffee.
We buy the green beans directly from the farmers and roast them to our exact tastes and your tasting pleasure. This is a curated coffee bean experience!
We supply our coffee in a monthly or fortnightly subscription, or you have the freedom to pick and choose when you want to buy. This way, whatever your coffee routine is, our range of specialty coffee can fit around it.
The process in curating our coffee is a complex one. We start by sourcing our coffee beans, depending on which profiles we want to bring to our supporters. The story behind the coffee is also very important to us - making sure it is ethically sourced and has brilliant CSR policies behind it.
We then roast our coffee beans by hand in Copenhagen with a professional team. Our beans are freshly roasted to a specific profile for every order, maintaining the best taste possible. This means you can truly appreciate the flavours of each of our whole bean coffees.
Then, we package them up and send them straight to your doorstep. If you’d like state of the art equipment to grind and brew your coffee beans, we have a whole section of our website which is dedicated to coffee gear.
Bean Bros is one of the number one places to source your specialty coffee beans online. We are proud to supply you with the highest standard coffee which has been meticulously chosen for you.
Try our specialty grade coffee beans for an expert selection of the best roasts the market has to offer.
The story behind our Bean Bros Coffee
We’re dedicated to bringing you the highest quality, best coffee beans to buy on the market. If you were wondering where to buy specialty coffee beans, you have found the right place!
We use multiple coffee bean types from different locations around the world to create our roasts. Each specialty bean has different taste profiles, meaning that you can choose depending on what you look for in your coffee.
This is because the zone is on the up - it’s only now that coffee professionals are realising how distinct the flavor profiles are from the zones that border it. Of course we wanted to bring this new and exciting profile to you.
From Guji coffee, you can expect complex yet balanced flavours. That is true of the variety we have roasted at Bean Bros. Taste this coffee and you will pick up on notes of earl grey and peach. It’s floral coffee at its best. Our beans are of the native Heirloom variety and are grown with several smallholders.
Next, we have our Kenyan Gatomboya AA roast. These coffee beans are grown in Karatina town right near the foothills of the beautiful Mount Kenya.
This coffee is known especially for its recurring berry notes. It is an intense coffee and packs a lot of flavour.
On top of the brilliant taste of this coffee bean, the Gatomboya factory is known for its outstanding cooperative society behind the mill. It takes care of each of the people who have a hand in creating the coffee, as well as the local community. This is another of the reasons why we were so excited to work with this coffee.
We also stock a coffee from Costa Rica - the Volcan Azul coffee. This coffee is grown on the slopes of the Barva and Poás Volcanoes by descendants of some of the first pioneers to grow coffee in the Americas.
As the Coffea plants are grown in volcanic soil, it is highly fertile and 1400 meters above sea level. Each of these factors helps to create a taste profile which is completely unique - stone fruit, apple, citrus, and floral, all in one cup.
Today, the Volcan Azul coffee is grown in such a way to uphold the traditions of generations of coffee growers. The business is headed by Don Alejo C and Don Wilhelm who are dedicated to carrying on these same traditions for generations to come.
They also have policies to make sure the natural environment is conserved. They acquire areas of natural rainforest so they can safeguard it. Now, they’ve acquired over 1,500 hectares of rainforest. Again, this is exactly the sort of collaboration we want to be a part of at Bean Bros.
In our range, you have several types of specialty coffee to choose from, whatever suits your tastes.
FAQ about Bean Bros Speciality Coffee Beans
Where do your coffee beans come from?
Coffee beans take a bit of a journey before they end up packaged in a Bean Bros envelope. They begin their life from a plant called Coffea, a flowering shrub or small tree. Once the berries on these coffee beans trees are ripe, they are picked, processed, and dried.
The dried berries, which are referred to as beans, are roasted in such a way to produce the desired flavour profile. Of course, the type of Coffea plant the beans come from, as well as the conditions it was grown in, alters the flavour of the bean as well.
Coffee trees were originally native to tropical Africa and islands off the east coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean. In fact, they thrive in areas which are in between the Tropic of Cancer and Capricorn. This area is called the ‘Bean Belt.’ Now, however, coffee plants are cultivated in over 70 countries.
As you can see from the information above, we stock a number of the best coffee beans from around the world. These locations are Ethiopia, Kenya, and Costa Rica.
We always work fairly we our suppliers and ensure that we are aware of exactly what is going on at every point in the chain. We create the best gourmet coffee and there’s no way we’re cutting corners to achieve this goal.

The Specialty Coffee Association is the board which regulates this sort of coffee. You can see their website if you wish to know more about how specialty coffee brands are categorised.
