Refund policy

Bean Bros wants returns to be straightforward and fair. This policy explains when items can be returned, when refunds are available, and which products are excluded under applicable consumer law.

1. Your right to cancel

If you buy from Bean Bros online and your order is delivered within the European Union, you generally have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.

To exercise this right, email support@beanbros.co within 14 days of delivery and include your order number plus the item(s) you want to return. After notifying Bean Bros, the item must be sent back within 14 days.

2. Return conditions

To qualify for a return, items must be:

  • Unused.

  • In the same condition as received.

  • Returned with original packaging where possible.

  • Accompanied by proof of purchase, such as an order confirmation or receipt.

Please do not send returned items to the manufacturer.

3. Non-returnable items

The following items are non-returnable or non-cancellable where permitted by law:

  • Perishable goods, including coffee beans and other food items.

  • Gift cards.

  • Intimate or sanitary goods.

  • Hazardous materials.

  • Flammable liquids or gases.

  • Custom-made, made-to-order, special-order, or specially configured products.

These exclusions do not limit your rights if an item is faulty, damaged on arrival, or not as described.

4. Custom-made and special-order products

Custom-made and special-order products are ordered, produced, or configured specifically for your request. Once the order has been confirmed, these products cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded unless they are faulty or not as described.

Examples include:

  • Option-O P64 grinder.

  • Option-O Lagom 01 grinder.

  • Option-O grinders ordered to customer specifications.

  • La Marzocco Linea Mini R.

  • La Marzocco Linea Micra.

  • Any other product ordered or configured specifically to your requirements.

Because these products may be placed directly with the manufacturer on your behalf, customers should review all specifications, dimensions, voltage requirements, and compatibility details carefully before placing an order.

5. Refunds

Once a return is received and inspected, Bean Bros will confirm by email whether the refund has been approved. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or receiving evidence that they have been sent back, whichever comes first.

Where required by law, the original standard delivery charge will also be refunded when a valid withdrawal right is exercised.

Unless the return is due to a faulty, damaged, or incorrect item, return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. Shipping fees originally paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Partial refunds

A partial refund may be granted where legally permitted if:

  • An item is returned used, damaged, incomplete, or not in its original condition for reasons not caused by Bean Bros.

  • An item shows obvious signs of use.

  • A return falls outside the applicable return conditions and a partial recovery is still accepted.

7. Faulty, damaged, incorrect items, and exchanges

If an item arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please follow the instructions on the Bean Bros warranty page. Include your order number and clear photos where relevant. If the issue is confirmed, Bean Bros will provide the next steps and cover reasonable return shipping costs where applicable.

Bean Bros replaces items only where they are defective, damaged, or incorrect. To request an exchange, please follow the same warranty process before sending the item back.

8. Late or missing refunds

If a refund has not appeared yet:

  • Check your bank account again.

  • Contact your card provider, as processing times can vary.

  • Contact your bank, as posted refunds can take additional time.

If the refund is still missing after these checks, contact support@beanbros.co.

9. Gifts

If an item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to the recipient, Bean Bros may issue store credit or another appropriate gift return solution depending on the order and payment method.

If the item was not marked as a gift, any approved refund will be sent to the original purchaser.

10. Return address

Please contact Bean Bros before sending any return so the return can be approved and matched to your order.

11. Cancellations

If you need to cancel an order, contact Bean Bros as quickly as possible. Orders for custom-made or special-order items cannot be cancelled once confirmed.

For standard items, cancellation requests are handled based on the order status. If an order has already been processed or shipped, Bean Bros may ask you to follow the normal return procedure after delivery.
