Hario also use recycled glass in their process. It is simply melted down and put back into the glass-making system.
With the expansion of the company, Hario also produce items which are not made from glass. For example, their hand-wound coffee grinder is one of the best in the market.
Hario stock everything from drip coffee makers to glass carafes. Each of the items are designed to be used together as well, making the whole experience seamless.
Hario Coffee gear at Bean Bros
To equip coffee lovers with everything they need for the perfect brew, we stock a full range of Hario’s products. We have even put together a Hario Brewing Set which includes a Hario dripper, server, and grinder, plus a Fellow Stag Kettle designed specifically for pour over brewing.
Let’s take a look at the Hario products we stock here at Bean Bros. First, we have the Hario essential item, the Hario V60 dripper.
We stock this item in two styles, the Hario V60-02 Kasuya Ceramic Coffee Dripper and the Hario V60 Plastic Dripper.
The biggest difference between these drippers is the temperature control. With a ceramic dripper, it retains heat and can even be preheated to make sure it stays at the same warm temperature, perfect for brewing.
The plastic model however works exactly the same apart from this temperature difference but is the cheaper model. Both Hario V60 funnels have grooves down the sides of their insides. This helps slow down the rate the water moves down the dripper at, meaning it brews more evenly.
Whichever specifications fit you better is up to you. Both of these drippers create brilliant coffee. You can also buy Hario V60 filters from us here at Bean Bros. Try out some V60 coffee - it’s unique.
Next, we have the Hario carafe. We supply the 600ml size as we believe this is the perfect size for the pour over coffee maker set up. It is made out of heat-proof glass and is brilliant for serving.
Additionally, we have the specific Hario V60 server which works well with the other V60 products. For example, the lid to the server doubles up as a stand for the dripper. It couldn’t be simpler to create your own Hario coffee maker.
This model also has markers on the side of the glass so you can see approximately how much coffee you have brewed. This is great for if you are getting scientific with your brewing, trying to work out the right set up to produce the most and best coffee.
We also stock the Hario Coffee Grinder Pro which is a manual coffee grinder. This is a great piece of kit and is perfect for at home use or whilst travelling - of course, you don’t need to be plugged into the mains!
The thing which is so brilliant about this grinder is that it has a range of grind settings which can be easily chosen between with a knob under the bean container. This makes grinding for lots of different brew types simple.
As it is a ceramic burr grinder, it produces an even and consistent grind. It can also hold up to 24g of coffee. This is one of the best grinders on the market.
Like we mentioned earlier, we also have a Hario pour over kit which features all the items you need bundled together. These pieces together provide the ingredients for a beautiful cup of filter coffee. Try them out for yourself with the help from Bean Bros.

Over time, the remnants of old coffee beans might build up in your grinder. To keep it clean, it’s important to clean it when this happens.
To do this, start by taking the grinder apart. Unscrew the grind adjustment nut by holding the handle in place. Then, take out the inner and outer burr. Next, take the spring and shaft out from the body and take the washer off the shaft. Make sure to keep all the components in a safe place.
Now that all the components are separated, you can wash them each by hand using water. Some people find it useful to use a brush to first brush away the coffee remnants.
Make sure each component is completely dry before you start to reassemble it the same way you took it apart. If you’d like to see a video of this process, take a look at Hario’s Coffee mill ceramic slim Instruction Movie. That way, you can be sure of what you’re doing.
To keep the grinder fresh, some people like to regularly sweep it with a little brush. This dislodges the small coffee granules so the machine is left clean.
What’s the difference between Hario V60 size 1 vs. 2?
The size which is best for you depends on the amount of coffee you normally brew. The size 1 is perfect for if you’re brewing up to 350ml. When brewing less coffee, this dripper works well and is less cumbersome.
If you are brewing up to 800ml, size 2 is the right one for you as this is the Hario V60 capacity for size 2. Of course, you can also brew less coffee using this dripper too which is why we stock the size 2 here at Bean Bros.
The Hario V60 dimensions for size 2 are as follows - 14.5 x 13 x 14.5cm.
Hario V60 size 3 is for if you wish to make one to six cups of coffee in one go. This size obviously takes longer to brew, even if you’re not brewing at full capacity.
Which other Hario products are popular?
Another popular product from this giant in the coffee industry is the Hario V60 Buonon Temperature Control Kettle. This Hario electric kettle is made in Japan specifically for pour over coffee which is why it is such a popular choice.
This piece is especially popular as the Hario kettle copper and Hario kettle black.
As an additional piece to go with the Hario V60 kettle, there’s also the Hario kettle thermometer which allows you to keep track of the water temperature as you heat it up. This let’s you hit that optimum 95 degrees easily.
The Hario V60 03 Ceramic Dripper is another popular item. The ceramic drippers are brilliant for their heat retention and in size 3, you can create up to six cups of coffee all in one go.
