Every great shot leaves a soggy souvenir behind. The Fellow Espresso Knock Box gives your spent pucks a tidy place to land: one firm tap of the portafilter on its silicone-covered bar, and the coffee cake drops straight in. A weighted base with a grippy underside keeps it planted while you knock. It holds roughly seven pucks (about 550 ml) and comes in six colours, styled to sit alongside Fellow's Espresso Series 1.
Highlights
- Tap, drop, done – The knock bar wears a silicone sleeve, so it cushions every knock on its way to freeing the puck from your basket.
- Not going anywhere – Thanks to a weighted base with a non-slip underside, the box stays exactly where you parked it, even when you knock with enthusiasm.
- Small footprint, decent appetite – There's around 550 ml of space inside. Fellow puts that at about seven espresso pucks, so you won't be emptying it after every coffee.
- Two pieces, easy rinse – Grab the inner frame by its handle, lift it clear, and you have two parts to wash by hand. Simple.
- Pick your colour – Black, Sesame, Woodland, Cherry Red, Malted Chocolate or Marine Blue. Four of those share their names with the Fellow Espresso Series 1 colours we stock.
Our take: who the Fellow knock box is for
A knock box is one of those things nobody gets excited about, right up until the third puck of the morning gets scraped into the bin with a teaspoon. This one earns its counter space by being compact, steady and genuinely nice to look at, which is more than most puck bins can say.
It's made for home baristas pulling a handful of shots a day, and it's an easy pick if you own a Fellow Espresso Series 1 and want the corner of your coffee bar to match. At two doubles a day, seven pucks works out at roughly three days, though we'd tip it out sooner: wet grounds don't get better with age.
Who it's not for: if you're pulling shots for a crowd, a floor-standing bin like the Studio Barista Floor Knock Box makes more sense. If you'd rather go stainless steel, have a look at our Knockbox With Removable Bar Stainless Steel. And if everything in your kitchen has to survive the dishwasher, note that this one is hand-wash only.

No, it's hand-wash only. Lift the inner frame out using its handle, wash both parts in warm, soapy water and let them dry completely before you put it back together.
2. How many pucks does the Fellow knock box hold?
About seven. Fellow lists the capacity as roughly 550 ml.
3. Do I need a Fellow Espresso Series 1 to use it?
No. It was designed alongside the Series 1 to match it, but it works as a standard countertop knock box: tap your portafilter against the bar and the spent puck drops in.
4. How do I use an espresso knock box?
Straight after your shot, hold the portafilter over the box and give it a short, firm knock against the bar. The puck drops in, and you're ready to rinse the basket and go again.

Six: Black, Sesame, Woodland, Cherry Red, Malted Chocolate and Marine Blue.
