Banko Gotiti Washing Station is situated in Ethiopia’s renowned Gedeb region, an area celebrated for producing coffees of exceptional quality. Here, hundreds of smallholder farmers cultivate coffee on small plots at elevations of up to 2,200 metres above sea level. The region’s fertile soils, cool climate, and deep-rooted coffee-growing traditions create the perfect conditions for coffees with outstanding clarity and complexity.

Once harvested, the ripe cherries are delivered to the washing station, where they are carefully sorted, washed, and dried. This washed process brings out the coffee’s natural character, producing a clean, elegant, and distinctly Ethiopian cup.

Banko Gotiti is wonderfully versatile. Brewed as a filter coffee, it offers a delicate, tea-like profile with floral aromatics and lively citrus notes. As espresso, it becomes round and buttery, with a soft sweetness and smooth milk chocolate character.
