Overview

The Lelit Anna PID (PL41TEM) is a compact single boiler espresso machine from Italy for anyone who wants to pull proper shots at home without filling the kitchen. The PID controller holds the brew water at the temperature you choose, so the result depends on your coffee and your grind, not on luck.

Temperature you set, not guess

Most entry-level machines rely on a simple thermostat. Anna uses a PID controller with a display on the front. It ships set to 95 °C and you can adjust it between 80 and 130 °C with the arrow buttons. Light roasts often like it a little hotter, darker roasts a little cooler, and you can change it in seconds.

Built around the LELIT57 group

The LELIT57 group and portafilter are designed together with Lelit's own 57 mm barista tools, and a 3-way solenoid valve leaves you with a drier puck that knocks out cleanly. The brew pressure gauge on the front shows when your grind is in the optimal green zone, which makes dialling in much easier.

Steam milk for cappuccino and flat white

The multidirectional steam wand has an anti-burn grip and also delivers hot water for tea or an americano. As Anna is a single boiler, you brew first and then let the boiler heat up for steaming. For one or two milk drinks at a time it is a simple routine.

Small footprint, easy to live with

At 23 cm wide, Anna fits under most kitchen cabinets. The 2.7 litre tank has a window on the side so you can see the water level, the body and drip tray grate are stainless steel, and the cup warmer on top keeps your cups ready.

Who is it for?

Anna suits first-time home baristas who want an Italian machine with PID, and coffee lovers stepping up from a pod or bean-to-cup machine. Pair it with a grinder that can grind fine enough for espresso – see our coffee grinders – or compare it with other espresso machines.

The Lelit Anna PID comes with a 2-year warranty and 15-day returns, and we ship across Europe. Questions about setup or which grinder to choose? Contact us and we will help.

Frequently asked questions

How do I set the brew temperature on the Lelit Anna PID?

Use the arrow buttons on the PID display to set a temperature between 80 and 130 °C. Lelit sets it to 95 °C at the factory, and the new value is saved after a few seconds. Try 1–2 degrees hotter for light roasts and cooler for dark roasts.

Does the Lelit Anna PID use 57 mm or 58 mm accessories?

Anna uses Lelit's LELIT57 group, so choose baskets, tampers and distribution tools made for 57 mm / LELIT57. Standard 58 mm accessories will not fit the portafilter.

Can I brew espresso and steam milk at the same time?

No. Anna has one boiler for both jobs, so you pull the shot first and then let the boiler heat up for steaming. For one or two milk drinks at a time this works well.

How long does the Lelit Anna take to heat up?

Lelit's manual says the boiler reaches temperature in about 3 minutes. For the most stable shots, let the group and portafilter warm through as well – Lelit's own shop states the machine is fully ready in under 10 minutes.

What is the difference between the Lelit Anna PL41TEM and PL41EM?

The PL41TEM is the Anna with a PID controller and display, so you can set the brew temperature exactly. The PL41EM is the basic Anna without PID.

What warranty and returns do I get?

The Lelit Anna PID comes with a 2-year warranty and 15-day returns. If anything is wrong with your machine, reach us through our contact page and we will sort it out.
