Numbers, but make them pretty. The Varia AKU Pro is a coffee scale for espresso and pour-over that weighs to 0.01 g up to 1 kg, shows dose, yield and brew ratio live on a full-colour OLED screen, and shrugs off splashes with an IPX6 rating. It builds on the AKU Mini with dedicated espresso and filter modes, Bluetooth and a USB-C battery that lasts around 10 hours.

Highlights

Two modes, two brew styles – AKU Flow tracks your ratio live while you pour filter coffee; AKU Spro shows dose, yield and brew ratio in real time for espresso.
Seriously precise – 0.01 g up to 1 kg and 0.05 g up to 2 kg, on a 130 × 110 mm platform that fits most brewing setups.
Splash-proof – IPX6 water resistance and CNC-machined parts (0.02 mm tolerance) for a busy café or home bar.
Easy on the eyes – A full-colour OLED display with adjustable brightness, volume and units.
Charge less, brew more – 480 mAh rechargeable battery: around 10 hours of use, about 2 hours to charge via USB-C.
Connected – Bluetooth for app integration and firmware updates.
