Overview
The second-generation Varia VS3 in silver is the compact grinder for people who drink espresso and filter and don't want two machines. A redesigned motor with a stainless steel gearbox runs at a stable 170 RPM, a steep 76.5° geometry keeps retention low, and you change grind size by turning the hopper, 10 microns at a time.
Good to know
We keep VS3 spare parts (motors, burr chambers, dosing cups) and can help you choose a burr set.
Not for you if you want adjustable speed or bigger batches: see the VS4 or VS6.
VS3 Gen 2 vs VS4
- Varia VS3 Gen 2 (this one): fixed 170 RPM, 10-micron stepless.
- Varia VS4: 53 mm conical burrs, 150–300 RPM, up to 2 g/s.
